Morons of Cleveland

Lefty and I had dinner at Morton’s The Steakhouse in Cleveland. While the company was great, the restaurant left much to be desired for one thing and one thing only – price. As a location that prides itself on catering to the business and the business traveler…even on an expense account…the prices were OUTRAGEOUS!

Lefty and I both got the ribeye, which is a great cut, known for it flavor, which we both appreciate, but for which we got because it was the cheapest thing on the menu. All the other steaks were way overpriced by a Hamilton ($10) to a Jackson ($20). I’ll tell you this much, you can get a better cut, aged to perfection in DC for half the cost of what Morton’s had theirs listed for.

So when asked, “What’s the best steak in Cleveland?” I can tell you that dollar for dollar, Morton’s doesn’t make the list. You’d be better off saving your dead Presidents and buying a whole tenderloin to feed the family for the Princess’ birthday….
