Ever eat a 3.5lbs steak, grilled in a wood-fired oven? I did. Along with wood-fired pizzas and clams; olives and so much more food I can’t even remember it all. Hats off to Tony Soprano for a birthday dinner fit for a king, or a President.

Thanks to Pa Bell for inviting me and the Prince to Browns Training camp. (I told you I had a lot of old stuff in the stack.) It was great - we had food, an air conditioned chalet, and autographs for the kids afterwards. The Prince would much rather play football than watch it, but it was a guys night out so it was fun anyway. The sad part is that the training camp looks to be the best part of the season….

We had a blast this year in NMB this year. Went to our usual for our anniversary dinner – Chuck’s Steakhouse. It’s a local favorite. Known for its super sirloin steak, I stuck with the old standby – NY Strip with a goblet of beer. FLOTUS got the surf and turf, which Princess shared in the turf. Prince got French fries, oh yeah, and the best steamed buns this side of Windy Hill Beach, if you know what I mean, and I know you do.

Brat’ in da Hood isn’t the only one who likes to cut down trees and split wood. I had several trees taken down at 1600 Pennsylvania and rented a splitter from the friendly neighborhood CCM. The auto re-tract didn’t work, which was a pain, and it rained the last 2 hours of splitting, but I got it done. Only problem…I had to much wood and not enough covered storage. I got it handled eventually, but what a pain, especially after having the 2 stacks fall during recent wind storms. Here’s to global warming…I mean climate change....
