Farmers in Stripes

I love this story in today's Dispatch about prisoners on Ohio producing fresh fruits and vegetables for food pantries. What an ingenious idea:

• It put the prisoners to work for the common good.
• The produce is used to feed the poor, whose diets often lack proper nutrition.
• IT DOESN'T COST THE STATE A DIME!

We need more ideas like this and less dumping of federal and state funds into the bottomless pit of government spending.
